Lily graduated last November from Boston University with a Ph.D. in Statistics. Her thesis was mainly focused on Time Series analysis and the way serial dependency can be incorporated for statistical inference. Upon graduation, she joined Amazon’s Alexa team as a Data Scientist in Alexa Machine Learning department. At Amazon, she works on internalization of Alexa devices.

During her Ph.D., Lily also worked as a Data Scientist for Liberty Mutual where she started as a summer intern before transferring to a regular position. The projects she has worked on varied from risk-based pricing models for large corporate contracts to network-based analysis of internal employees’ performance and satisfaction based on self-reported data.
